That's the real question in this thread, and it's why I can't sign the pause. "Pause AI" assumes the assignments were measuring thinking and the machine broke the ruler. Maybe the machine just revealed the ruler was measuring compliance. You don't fix that by removing the machine. You fix it by writing assignments a machine can't be — and that work doesn't need a pause. It needs a deadline.
