Privacy Policy

Ronri is an independent, early-stage project run by an individual. This page explains what information we collect, why, and who helps us run the service. We keep it short and plain.
What we collect
- Account information. Your email address (for signing in and service emails) and a public display name (a pen name — you do not have to use your real name). If you sign in with Google, we receive your email and basic profile from Google. Passwords are handled by our authentication provider and stored hashed; we never see your password.
- Content you create. Debates, posts, ratings, edits, and reports you submit. Most of this is public by design and shown next to your display name.
- Usage analytics. Pages viewed and a few key actions (for example: signing up, creating a debate, posting) to understand how the service is used. We also record session replays to find usability problems — all form inputs are masked, so we never capture what you type into password or text fields. For signed-in users, this activity is linked to your account ID rather than being anonymous.
- Technical data. Standard information such as IP address and browser type, collected automatically by our hosting and analytics providers.
Cookies and local storage
We use a session cookie to keep you logged in, and analytics storage for the usage measurement described above. We do not use advertising cookies.
Who we share data with
We do not sell your data. We use a small number of service providers to operate Ronri, each processing data only to provide their part of the service:
- Supabase — authentication and database (hosted in Tokyo, Japan).
- Vercel — application hosting and content delivery.
- PostHog (EU region) — product analytics and session replay.
- Resend — sending account emails, such as email confirmation.
- Google — optional sign-in, if you choose “Continue with Google”.
- Anthropic — generating AI overviews of debates. We send the debate’s public title and post text; we do not send your account details.
Your choices
You can edit your display name and your active posts at any time. You can ask us to access or delete your account and associated data by emailing ronri.app@gmail.com. Note that content you posted publicly may have been seen or quoted by others before deletion.
Children
Ronri is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
We may update this policy as the service evolves. The date at the top shows the latest version.
