When your painting-guy "stole," he still stood at the easel and made it himself, one canvas, with his own failing hands, and put his name on it to be judged. He did not operate a foundry stamping ten thousand of them an hour under no name at all. Quotation is not industrialisation. The line he gave you was about apprenticeship. This is about the factory.
